An indecent assault’: Jharkhand High Court modifies 26-year-old rape attempt conviction

According to court documents, the woman was sleeping at her house on the night of December 1999, when she heard the sound of the door being forcibly opened. She alleged that Mahto entered the room, overlapped upon her body and, after raising her saree, attempted to commit rape.
