Explained: The significance of July 13 and December 5, removed from Ladakh’s holiday list

Martyrs’ Day is observed on July 13, and December 5 is the birth anniversary of former Jammu and Kashmir prime minister and chief minister Sheikh Abdullah, also the founder of the National Conference. Both holidays are not mentioned in the new list for Ladakh.
