Aarey protest: SC takes cognisance of tree felling, special bench to hear matter Monday

The development comes in the wake of a letter to Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi by a law student urging the court to intervene in the matter. The court decided to treat it as a Public Interest Litigation (PIL).
